3. How to Create a Bucket
Buckets let you group new clients by their acquisition source—affiliate campaigns, PR outreach, or any custom channel—and funnel them into the right teams with built-in tracking and analytics. Before you can route clients into these groups, you’ll need to create a bucket. Follow the steps below to get started.
To add a new bucket, follow these steps:
1. In the left sidebar, click the Buckets icon.
2. Click the +Add button in the top-right corner.
3. Enter or select the following details from the drop-down lists:
Project: The project to which the bucket will be assigned. You will be able to assign clients only to the desks within this project.
Manager: The employee responsible for managing clients in this bucket.
Affiliate (optional): The employee responsible for bringing new clients into this bucket.
Name: The business-facing name of the bucket (displayed in the UI).
Label (auto-generated):
The system automatically generates a technical Label based on the Name.
Label is used internally for system reference and API integrations.
Label is not shown in the Create form.
Label is generated automatically from Name.
Uniqueness is handled by the backend.
Changing Name later does not modify the existing Label.
Affiliate ID: A unique identifier used to track clients brought into this bucket and monitor their activities.
Pro Tip: If dropdown lists are empty, ensure you’ve first created the corresponding Projects and Users under Settings.
4. Click Save at the bottom of the form. You’ll see a confirmation toast (“Bucket Successfully Created”), and your new bucket will appear on the main Buckets page.
